PROGRAM "SHARING HANDS TOGETHER" WITH JVB VIETNAM
Autumn is coming, the time when students eagerly return to school, welcoming a new school year. However, in contrast to the bustling atmosphere in the city, there are still difficult and arduous situations on the way in the remote schools in our country, as students try their best to find words and build knowledge. Promoting the nation's tradition of solidarity, mutual affection and the belief of "Children build the future of the country", JVB Vietnam's volunteer trip to share love started on September 9th to children at 4 remote schools in Muong Men, Van Ho district, Son La province.
There are 4 schools: Ban Kha Nhai Kindergarten - Primary School, Ban Ui Kindergarten, Ban Com Kindergarten. These are the schools with many children in extremely difficult circumstances, not only in remote areas but they also face extremely harsh weather with flash floods and landslides, which contributes to the lack of facilities in learning and living.
With the contributions of JVBers and benefactors, JVB gave meaningful
gifts to children entering the new school year as well as welcoming a warm
Mid-Autumn Festival season.
In total, JVB has donated:
- 4 filtered water machines for 4 disadvantaged
schools in the area;
- 45 gift sets for elementary
school students: 10 Hong Ha notebooks, 1 pencil box (grade 1 students)/
fountain pen
+ ink (grade 3 and 5 students), pen box, ruler, storybook,
backpack.
- 60 gift sets for preschoolers: 3 boxes
of fresh milk, 1 package of cakes, colouring books, colouring boxes, story
books.
- Old winter and summer clothes for adults
and childrens footwear and toys and teddy bears.
In this meaningful trip, it is impossible not to mention the positive
contributions of JVBers since the very first days of activities. Let's
listen to volunteers' shares feelings:
JVBer Le Ngoc Tuan: "I
have never participated in volunteer activities providing aid to thoae in
such difficult circumstances and underdeveloped places before. Despite it
being a small contribution, I found this activity to be extremely
meaningful. Seeing the happiness of the students as they received their
gifts left me with a warm feeling in my heart. I hope the company takes
part in more volunteer activities like this in more remote areas of our
country."
JVBer Do Ngoc Tho: "When we were on the road, it was
raining heavily and moving was difficult, finally the gifts were able to
reach the students. The volunteer team and I were very excited and happy
because our small efforts brought joy to the children here."
On behalf of the program organizers, we would like to send our sincere and deep thanks to the benefactors, sponsors, and JVBers who have supported the program; The local government, school board of directors, teachers, children, and local people in Muong Men commune warmly welcomed us.
